The diagram shows the flow from an old fashioned 4 button kiln controller to a more easily programmed digital kiln. Depending on your particular kilns requirements you may need additional hardware over and above the standard eBay kit version being sold. The picture on the left shows all the electronics required to setup your kiln to be controlled with your computer. The thermocouple and rs-232 to rs-422 converter are required options. That is to say you must have them one way or another. Many people already have 1 or both of these. You must package it up yourself.
